I'm so excited. I think it will be hard for me to start a blog post any differentley for the next couple months, untill I don't have any more time to be excited, and have to switch to being ready. I just returned home from the National Pre-Departure orientation three days ago. To keep it simple, it was a pretty great week. The first couple days were incredibly informative to say the least. Then, each group of students were lucky enough to visit the specific embassy represented by their country. I, being a part of the Indonesian group, visited the Indonesian Embassy. There, I picked up on one thing that made me feel right at home; the Indonesian sense of humor. I love it. I love it i love it i love it.

That same day, we also were privelaged enough to visit the United States Department of State. We were adressed by Undersecretary Sonenshine, as welll as a pannel of experts about all the countries and regions YES is sending students.

At the end of this very long, and trust me it was long, day, we all got to take a break and briefley visit the Lincoln Memorial.

And then, the next day, all of us who were going home, said our goodbyes to all of our friends departing to the next year of their life in India, Malaysia, and Thailand. My excitement never ends. I am extrodinarily excited for those students. They are a part of our YES abroad family. Everyone in this family , are some of the coolest, most interesting, go-getters, know what they're doing, smartest, just over all crazy group of 53 people i've ever met, and I feel so, you guessed it, excited, special, and proud to be apart of it. Watch out everyone, you're gonna hear it from me first, these kids are going to do great things. Keep an eye on them, I know I will :)

OH. PS. Happy 12th Birthday to my newley-deemed pre-teen brother, Ben.. I can't wait to come back next year when you're taller than me, oh, that will be the day.
